Commissioning
Management
The successful Commissioning of a Fire Detection and Alarm
System is what all projects strive to achieve, as this brings
about the closure of the works and successful Handover to the
client. Commissioning needs to be timely and effective as it
is usually this element of a construction project that has
little time and budget.
Swithland can assist in the managing of the Commissioning
phase and/or provide resource to carry out the Commissioning
works. Our network with suppliers of specialist resource allows
us to meet the demands of Commissioning and provides us with
a flexible approach to your needs.
Our Commissioning resource is also adaptable to meet the varying
stages of the Commissioning phase from Powering up through
to Final witness testing. We can provide labour to carry out
the works in full or to assist others in a particular stage.
In addition to providing resource for the physical aspects of
Commissioning, Swithland can be employed to manage the Commissioning
phase and ensure that the system is fully commissioned in compliance
with the Specification and Code of Practice. On completion we
can provide the necessary certification that signifies the systems
readiness for use in protecting Life and Property from Fire.
The Fire Evacuation Procedure (“Cause and Effects”)
of a Fire Detection System can be demanding. Swithland can
assist in the Planning, Resource, Execution and Recording of
all tests as determined by the “Cause and Effects” scenarios.
Swithland can also provide advice on the Fire Evacuation Procedure
and if required, further develop the “Cause and Effects” testing
matrix.
